Sarah Palin was named the VP candidate on the Republican ticket in 2008, and afterward, she skipped out on the Governor’s office. That was possibly due to the fact that she decided that pursuing a career in reality television might be more beneficial financially, than politics. Now, she has tossed in her hat for the 2012 Presidential election.
On the heels of her announcement comes the news that there is a new documentary on the former Governor that just might hit the big screen. It shows Sarah as the bumbleheaded moron that we’ve come to know and detest. Apparently, she isn’t a fan of paying attention during important meetings and loves to text. Who knew?!?
British filmmaker Nick Bromfield is behind the film’s attempt to show the real Sarah. He has interviewed her parents, friends and former colleagues to show off her rise to fame. The movie is set to make its debut on June 29, 2011 and may even get a premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
In the movie, she’s called “amateur” by her former colleagues, who claim that she doesn’t listen and spent her time at important meetings texting on her cell phone.
I hope this really deters her from getting any real shot at the White House next year. In my humble opinion as a tax paying citizen of the U.S., I’d have to say that letting her be in charge of anything more than being a clerk at the local 7-11 is probably more than she should be tasked with.
