The always pleasant (and notoriously handsome) Robert Downey Jr. sat down with Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday to discuss his new film, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
Can I just say that I can never get enough of this guy? He’s ridiculously witty and charming, not to mention the fact he’s got some serious sex appeal. Thank god that he was able to turn his life around and free himself from the drugs that threatened to not only end his career, but also take his life.
Luckily he bounced back, and with a new baby on the way, and his latest film in theaters, life is good for RDJ. He chatted to Jimmy about his holiday plans, as well as going to Sting 60th birthday and learning how to perfect his British accent (his character in SH is a brit). When Jimmy asked him if he spoke with an accent when they weren’t filming, Robert said:
“No, I am not a method actor. I am a lazy person. The accent thing, I have a really great dialect coach…who just drills it into me. He speaks perfectly so when he hears me not in accent he finds it amusing but also repelling.”
Well there you have it folks!! Just for the record, he’s never repelling in my books.
