Shotgun buying a bike in L.A! Never mind, I don’t know what’s worse – driving in the madness that is Los Angeles traffic, or riding a bike amongst the crazy (sometimes drunk/sometimes high) drivers. And trust me, this is no exaggeration. For those of you who have had the unlucky experience driving the freeway with fists gripped to the steering wheel – you know exactly what I’m talking about… And, sadly, bike riders don’t have it any easier – just ask Samantha Ronson.
The famous Hollywood DJ – and Lindsay Lohan’s ex – got into what looks like a pretty serious bike crash. Ronson, 33, posted a photo of herself on her blog after the crash, and 12 stitches later. It’s not a pretty pic, but I suppose she got off lucky while avoiding a car on her ride home. Rest assured, she was quick to explain, “Just a little uglier than usual, other than that, Vicodin is handling the rest”. Okay then. As long as there are happy pills! On a serious note, I like Samantha’s sassy attitude, and the girl’s got talent. Thankfully she wasn’t seriously injured and was quick to tweet, “Let this be a lesson…if you have a driver’s license you probably don’t need to be on a BMX bike”. I am going to have to agree with that one – and no matter where you are; ride safe and helmets are cool!
