I’m trying very hard to like the casting choices for the male leads, but am having somewhat of a difficult time finding Suzanne Collins’s characters in the faces of those actors. Maybe it’s just me. Maybe they’re perfect, and I just have a screwed up imagination. . .
I understand they’ll do the characters great justice and breathe the necessary life into the roles required to make the movie succeed, but I just can’t see *UGH IDK* *growls* Josh Hutcherson in the role of pita bread Peeta, or Liam Hemsworth as Gale. What do you all think? Thoughts?

Katniss Everdeen played by Jennifer Lawrence . . . I do think this was perfect casting decision. Here she is lookin’ all awesome with her bow and arrows. Katniss is very skilled with a bow AKA you wouldn’t want to anger her in a freakin’ dark alleyway.
Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark. Here he is trying to be all I’m-a-bad-boy-breadmaker-who-can-kill-you, probably scoping out the competition — the kids from the other Districts — enrolled in the Hunger Games.
Aw, there’s Peeta a’ bakin’ his pastries haha. Food is a powerful symbol in Collins’s YA Dystopian novel — if you’ve read the book, you know what I mean. If you haven’t read the book, go away. JK. We love you. But you should read it.
Katniss and Gale hunting in the woods — an act that they are not supposed to be partaking in.
