11-year-old Willow Smith recently posted a picture of herself flaunting a trashy tongue piercing, all while standing beside a friend of hers who donned a super classy chin ring. As soon as Willow posted the photo, fans of hers lashed out, clearly thinking that it’s inappropriate for such a young girl to have a piercing of that nature. Willow was quick to correct the Instagram caption, changing it to read, “It’s fake . . . sorry.”
Apparently, the swagtastic metal on her tongue was just a magnet . . . . one that looks incredibly legit. In the state of California, young Willow would have had to get consent from her parents. And you’re quite familiar with who those two badasses are: Will Smith and Jada. As much as we want to give young Willow crap for it being real, something tells us that her daddy wouldn’t have agreed to this particular body modification. Though, we could be wrong. One can never be too sure.
People all over the web have gone into outrage over Willow’s photo, wondering why on earth a girl of this age would get — or be allowed to get — a tongue piercing. A source close to the singer and the Smiths told Gossip Cop exclusively that the metal on her tongue “isn’t a piercing — it is a magnet. Just a young girl having fun with accessories.”
But fake or not, do you think an 11-year-old girl, one who has many fans of the same age (or younger) should be promoting this type of accessory — promoting this type of image for others to replicate? Let us know in the comments section below. OKAY or NOT OKAY?
