Oh boy, this one is pretty funny! I guess Angelina Jolie couldn’t handle all of the attention that Brad Pitt, her better half was getting this past week. If you remember he graced the cover of People Magazine and got all mushy about how much he loves fatherhood and all the ways that it has changed his life for the better, not to mention his Chanel commercial. Angie couldn’t let him hog the spotlight for too long, only a few days to be exact. A news reporter talked to her about her humanitarian work the other day and somehow Angie managed to spring board from that topic all the way over to her kids. According to Digital Spy, Brad may have spent a good chunk of this past year playing Mr. Mom, but Angie has a soft spot for her tribe as well.
“I think I’m going to have to give up acting as the kids hit the teenage years because there’s going to be too much to manage at home. But I have enjoyed being an actress. I will do some films. I’m so fortunate to have the job. It’s a very lucky profession to be in. But if it all went away tomorrow I’d be very happy to be at home with my children.”
Somehow, I just don’t see Angie being even remotely capable of staying home (as in HER home, not another random country) for more than a week. There is no way that this woman really wants to be stuck with all of those kids day in, day out. She may provide for them and have saved half of them from lives in squalor- she may even love them in her own way- but she does not want to give up her current life for a traditional family role as “mom”. No way.
This to me sounds like Angie needing to try to sound as devoted to those kids as Brad appears to be. When it comes to parenting, she looks bad comparatively and she knows it! If Angie doesn’t see the value of getting the whole extended family together for Christmas, I say there’s no way she’s going to be running kids to after school activities and cooking dinner! Is that really a lifestyle that Angie wants? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
