Ben Affleck may be happily married to Jennifer Garner, but that doesn’t mean he’s kicked Jennifer Lopez to the curb. In fact, the Argo star and director says he stays in close touch with Jennifer – almost 10 years after their relationship spectacularly exploded in the public eye.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Affleck admits sexy wife Jennifer is not the only woman in his life. He’s still in touch with all of his exes – JLo, Gwyneth Paltrow and even high school sweetie Cheyenne Rothman.
Affleck tells the mag that he and the other half of Bennifer send each other little shout outs from time to time. When she got American Idol Affleck says he messaged her “This was really smart. Good luck.” Seems Affleck is the really nice guy he seems to be insisting he wishes JLo the best adding, “I respect her. I like her. I’m really pleased to see her successful.”
One has to wonder though how comfortable Garner is with her hubby keeping in touch with all of his sexy exes? Back in the day, he was quite the ladies’ man and hard partyer – so much so that he landed in rehab by age 29.
And if Ben’s loving wife ever watched the Jenny from the Block video, she probably has a perma-image burned into her brain of Affleck smooching JLo’s most famous asset. How comfortable can she be that Ben’s staying in touch with that?
As for his ongoing relationship with other ex-fiancée Gwyneth Paltrow, Mrs. Affleck is supposed to be quite uncomfortable with their communications. Apparently Paltrow likes to send lavish gifts with excessively personal notes.
When the Affleck’s’ daughter Seraphina was born, Gwynnie sent an expensive present and a missive that said she was happy he got the family he’d always wanted. On the surface, it seems like a nice gesture, but perhaps it was a dig to remind Garner that Gwyneth was there long before she was.
Ben may seem like the good guy for staying on good terms with his exes, but it’s really Jennifer Garner that’s the sweetie in this scenario. Affleck told The Hollywood Reporter of his devoted wife: “She truly is kind. She means no one any harm. She doesn’t have ill will for any person. She’s not competitive with other people. She’s not spiteful.”
Good for Jennifer – but still, it must be hard to have two of the sexiest and most talented women in film and music messaging with your hubby…
