Last night the final six couples performed two dances, one with their professional partner and another “Trio” with an additional professional guest partner. This was the first time ever that DWTS did a “Trio” performance and the judges, as well as I, liked it very much.
Donald Driver came right out of the gate with professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd dancing the Tango to “Higher Ground” and all of the judges were in agreement that this as an amazing and dynamic performance. Check out his performance HERE, do you think the judges were ‘right on’ with their comments?
Maria Menounos and professional dancer Derek Hough danced a “trio” Samba featuring Henry Byalikovat and although the judges weren’t fond of it, I liked it. Bringing Bollywood to DWTS was certainly a refreshing change, watch the video HERE, what did you think about the performance?
I think the favorite, among the judges, to win this year is Katherine Jenkins and professional dancer Mark Ballas. Tonight they danced the Viennese Waltz and it fell flat because Katherine lost her balance, could this just have been nerves? During her “trio” performance, she recovered and regained the judges’ favour, you can watch the video HERE.
Roshon Fegan and professional dancer Chelsie Hightower danced the Fox Trot and it got a “Good job Dawg” from Len, then during the “trio” featuring Sasha Farber they hit it out of the park! Len said they were like “two skinny fries chasing the ketchup”, see for yourself HERE, do you like it as much as Len?
Did you see Melissa Gilbert and professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy dancing the Fox Trot to Rod Stewarts “Maggie May?” If you missed it, you can watch the video HERE. The judges thought it was good, but they all gave her eights which kind of makes me think they weren’t being honest. I didn’t really like the performance, and personally I feel sorry for Melissa, she looked like she was ready to crack tonight.
William Levy and professional dancer Cheryl Burke came out on top tonight, especially when they featured Tony Dovolani dancing the Paso Doble as a “trio”, you can check out the video HERE. The judges loved it and so did I, the chemistry was electric and Bruno said the guys looked like “two raging bulls.”
What did you think of tonight’s show? I loved most of the performances and my guess is that Melissa (before she has a breakdown) and Roshon are going to be leaving. Take our poll, tells us who you think is going to be leaving the competition.
