It’s been a whirlwind 12 months for Kate – a royal wedding, her first overseas royal tour and now a milestone birthday! But as usual she takes it all in her stride.
She was a major hit at her first Royal premiere over the weekend. She attended a screening of the new Steven Spielberg movie War Horse alongside husband Prince William in London. She hit the red carpet in a floor length lace dress by designer Alice Temperley. Any dress by her is guaranteed to wow the crowds – she created the emerald green dress Pippa Middleton wore to the royal wedding reception.
It may have been raining but Kate grabbed an umbrella and away she went. She wasn’t going to let the bad weather stop her from meeting the thousands of well wishers who turned out to catch a glimpse of Princess Diana‘s daughter-in-law. Even Mr Spielberg fell under Kate’s spell ‘This is so exciting. I get a buzz. You never grow out of something like this. It’s an honor to be here with the royals. This is my first royal premiere for the Duke and Duchess, having done them before for the Queen and the Queen Mother‘.
Today is all about friends and family. A low key birthday has been planned for Kate to celebrate turning the big 3-0!
The Duchess has her biggest year yet in front of her. Who knows – by her birthday next year she could be a Royal Mom.
