Our favorite/least favorite Gossip Girl walked down the aisle today! An exclusive source reported that Blake Lively and boyfriend of one year (and sexiest man alive) Ryan Reynolds got married today in a small ceremony in South Carolina.
Besides being our new golden couple, Blake and Ryan had a gorgeous ceremony. People Magazine reported that a cake was driven down from Virginia, and the guests included Florence + The Machine singer Florence Welch (who is said to have performed for them! Lucky!) The source also reported seeing Bette Midler dining with the bride and her mother.
It will be interesting to see how this relationship develops. They’ve been dating a year, and very quietly. Blake and Ryan both starred in Green Lantern, and despite their mum attitude, we know they’ve been together since. The newlyweds bought a home in New York earlier this year, which certainly shows commitment! However, Ryan Reynolds already has a divorce under his belt: he was married to sex goddess Scarlett Johansson for two years. Their relationship hasn’t been drama-free. Nude photos of Blake were leaked a few months ago.
No word yet on the dress, the flowers, the guests, but I’m guessing that it was pure chic. Which magazine will bid highest for the first photos of man and wife? And, more importantly, how long will we have to wait before they start having gorgeous children? This was sort of a shotgun wedding, but hopefully they’ll wait and work on their relationship even more before a baby comes along!
