With an engagement rock that massive, it’s amazing Jennifer Aniston’s been able to keep her sparkler from fiancé Justin Theroux under wraps since August. Jen and Justin were enjoying some downtime from her hectic We’re the Millers shoot.
Jen was seen caressing Justin’s face and sporting a knuckle duster of a diamond on that all important ring finger while out and about with her lover in Sante Fe, New Mexico. While on set, Jen’s been wearing the ring, but has kept it flipped around so only the slim gold band was visible – sneaky, sneaky – we’ve been dying for a peeky!
The egg-shaped enormity is estimated to be 5-6 carats (although Life & Style speculated back in August that it was 8 carats)! But even more important, we must know: is it bigger than the ring Brad Pitt gave Jen when they got engaged AND is it bigger than the ring Brad recently gave Angelina Jolie?
The results are in and Theroux is the clear winner – and they say size doesn’t matter… Jen’s ring from Justin outsizes both the one she got from Brad and (most importantly) the one he got for Angelina!
When Jen and Justin got engaged back in August, his rep said, “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”
If the cost of the ring rivaled what Pitt spent on Jen’s – rumored to be $500,000 – that’s a huge chunk of Justin’s net worth. Celebritynetworth.com estimates Theroux is worth $10.5 million – making an outlay of 500k on a ring a 5% dent in his net worth. Holy de Beers Batman! What happened to two months’ pay as the standard?
Congrats to Jen and Justin on the ring and impending nuptials – hopefully this time the vows will stick!
