ROUND 1 is a song the judges picked – Joshua Ledet performed “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James tonight on American Idol the Top 3 take to the stage and perform for their lives in the last performance show of the season before the finale. On tonight’s last performance show of the season before the finals the contestants will be bring their A game and singing three songs. One will be picked by the American Idol judges, another by mentor Jimmy Lovine and the third will be a song of their choosing.
The contestants remaining in the competition are: Phillip Phillips; Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet. Joshua Ledet sang ‘I’d rather go blind’ by Etta James for the first round. He was fantastic and brought down the house. The judges gave Joshua a standing ovation.
Judges Comments: Steve Tyler: “This is another Joshua moment. Steven Tyler says he sang like the American Idol. “You are such a throwback and I love that about you.” Jennifer Lopez: “You’re such a classic stylist. This fits you so like a glove.” Randy: “Hoping Joshua can bring his touch to modern times.”
