Has Queen Elizabeth made her first move toward ensuring Prince William take the throne instead of his father Prince Charles? At first glance it may appear so. It is no secret that Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles’s marriage is a joke as she was his mistress while he was still married to the late Princess Diana. So, it would not come as a shock if the Queen made a play to keep Prince Charles from being next in line for the throne.
Queen Elizabeth was in attendance at a cabinet meeting for the British government. Listed as a scheduled event for Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee, the monarch was the first to attend a cabinet meeting since the 1700’s. “A former Cabinet Secretary said it was a testimony to the Queen’s neutrality that Prime Minister David Cameron felt able to invite a monarch into the UK’s decision-making body for the first time in hundreds of years,” the site is quoted as saying. Over 300 years since this last occurred? There must be something more to this.
This visit comes on the heels of rumors that the Queen promised Duchess Kate that she and Prince William would be next in line to take the throne, as opposed to Prince Charles and Camilla, if she would hurry up and produce a great-grandchild for her. And what quickly transpired boys and girls was the gift of conception by Wills and Kate. Smart girl that Duchess! Sorry Charles. The throne was only an heir away and now it is out of your clutches. Perhaps the Kate and Queen will be able to rule the lands together. Ceremoniously only, of course.
What do you think CDL readers? Was the Queen really at the cabinet meeting as a spectator? Was this meeting previously scheduled as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebration? Is the Queen plotting to change the rules on Prince Charles and take the throne from underneath his nose? We’ll see if plans have changed once the royal baby makes his/her first appearance.
