Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick welcomed a baby girl into their family early Sunday morning, Radar Online reports. Kourtney delivered Penelope Scotland naturally at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical center.
Penelope was 7 lbs. 14 oz. and mom and baby are doing well. “Scott and I are overjoyed to welcome our precious angel Penelope Scotland Disick into our lives,” Kourtney told E! News. “We are forever blessed. Mommy and baby are resting comfortably.”
Naturally, all the other Kardashians were on hand for the event and were tweeting extensively after the birth. Kendall Jenner wrote, “great day! #babytime #PenelopeScotland” and Khloe Kardashian Odom tweeted, “such an amazing day.” Kim Kardashian also got in on the fun saying, “Welcome to the world Penelope Scotland Disick!!!!” The Kardashian’s producer and family friend, Ryan Seacrest, also offered his best wishes. “Congrats proud parents! Love the name.”
What do you think of the name? I’m going to do some digging and get back to you later on the meaning behind it. Are Scott or Kourtney Scottish, or Greek for that matter? I actually love the name Penelope so I’m a fan already.
I’m so happy for the couple! Kourtney’s been out and about looking very large and uncomfortable lately so I’m sure she’s glad to have her baby finally join the family. She and Scott have been together for six years and already have a 2-year-old son, Mason Disick. The fact that she had the baby naturally doesn’t surprise me although I thought Kourtney was supposed to have a water birth. She must have changed her mind. Kourtney is known to do that!
Offer the excited couple your congrats here! Also, what do you think about the name? Are you surprised it doesn’t start with a “K” or “M”?
