Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig is stroking her luck on finding love with The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti. Kristen opened up to Marie Claire magazine finally admitting that she had found love with the cute musician (and as it happens, Drew Barrymore’s ex beau of many years…just saying).
Kristen, 38, told the magazine – due out in August – that she is in a great place at the moment and part of that contentment comes from Fabrizio, 32.
“I will say that I’m happier than I’ve ever been,” she said, “and I feel very lucky right now.”
Lucky in love!! Kristen recently made her departure from the popular late night sketch show after 7 years of creating hilarious characters that we have grown to know and love all too well. The news didn’t sit well with her fans, understandably. People wondered why she was ready to throw in the towel at the height of her career and Kristen explains her reasons.
“I know a lot of people probably assume, ‘Oh, she’s leaving because she is going to be doing movies now and things like that,’ which I will be,” she said. “But I just always knew it was going to be seven and that was it.”
I guess when you know, you just know. She also said that if she was younger, she might have stayed longer, but that she’s ready now to move on. That didn’t mean her exit was exceptionally emotional, with Kristen admitting that her final episode was a challenge in that she struggled to not completely break down and lose it.
Kristen’s next film projects are: ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’ opposite Ben Stiller, ‘The Comedian’ opposite Robert De Niro, and ‘Imogene’ opposite Darren Criss.
With all this filming, how will she find time for Fab? Somehow, I’m sure she’ll find a way…
