Country Music Artist Lisa Matassa will have the esteemed pleasure to open for Country Music Great LeAnn Rimes on May 20, 2012 at the NYCB Theater at Westbury, NY.
Rimes broke into country music when she was just a teenager belting hits to the top of the charts such as “Blue”, and “How Do I Live”, “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” and more. She’s won countless awards and has appeared in “Coyote Ugly” and other top rated television shows throughout her career.
Matassa started 2012 off with a bang releasing her new full length LP “Sunrise Highway”. Lisa’s second single, Wouldn’t You Like To Know the first track on the LP, was added to country radio station playlists on February 27, 2012 and is currently at #58 on the BDS /Billboard Chart. Back in June 2011, her first single Me Time made it into the top 50 on the country music charts and the music video was #1 on CMT.com as recent as January 30, 2012.
This past holiday season Lisa recorded and released a music video of the holiday classic “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” with the Broadway Youth Ensemble. The video was the #1 holiday video on CMT.com throughout the holiday season.
“This is quite an honor for me to open for such a talent as LeAnn Rimes, she has always been one of my favorites” says Matassa.
