Melissa Gilbert Dancing With The Stars Salsa Performance Video 4/16/12

Melissa Gilbert danced the Salsa tonight as Dancing With The Stars continued with its fifth episode. The theme for this week’s episode is “Latin Week’ and this is always one of my favorite episodes. Latin Week returns as Carlos Santana takes over the ballroom with performances of some of his classic hits throughout the evening. We recapped the tonight’s show for you and if you want to see how all the couples did go HERE! Did you see Melissa’s performance last week if you missed it you can see it here!

Melissa Gilbert and professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy dancing the Salsa – Melissa is much better [after an injury on last week’s show that sent her to the hospital with a minor concussion]. She’s rehearsed in a neck brace, but that was just a precaution.  Melissa said she was having a hard time getting her sexy, dancer mojo back. “I’m being a bit self-protective, a bit tentative and I’m finding it hard to just let go and have fun. So, that is my goal this week – to let go and have fun. “

Judges CommentsBruno: What I like about you is you always go maximum thrust and plenty of fire. The thing is the dance is very very fast and you have to be on it precisely. Listen to what I say – you put a lot into it – you have to control what you’re doing. You have to go with that  and control it. Carrie Ann: I want to say something to you, it’s beautiful to see how much confidence you have gained over the past four weeks. It’s really so beautiful to see that because I know it does not come natural. You are looking fierce and sexy you are owning it. Bruno is right though there is an element of control that is lacking. I think because you take steps that are too big for you.  Len:  The dance  had two parts I saw greats rhythm but on occasion I saw some untidy steps. There were some excellent good parts then there were some parts not so good but overall I enjoyed it!

Scores:  Carrie Ann – 7 Len  – 7 Bruno 7  – Total 21/30
