Melissa Rycroft danced the Jive to Shout by the Isley Brothers for her performance tonight on Dancing With The Stars All-Stars 2012 Season 15. All 12 couples hit the stage performing either the Jive or the Quickstep to impress the judges and viewers at home, hoping they’re not the first couple sent home. We recapped the tonight’s show for you and if you want to see how all the couples did go HERE!
Melissa Rycroft and professional dancer Tony Dovolani dancing the Jive. Melissa had this to say to TV Guide about dancing the Jive this week, “It scares me to do the jive because it is a very unnatural dance for me. I think I’m the queen of straight posture and straight legs and pointed toes. And the jive is the complete opposite. It’s energetic and jumpy and you’re right, I didn’t perform it in Season 8. I had hurt my ribs and when we went to the hospital to get injections to numb it, they punctured my lung, so I completely had to pull out. So I don’t know what it’s like to perform it, but everything’s going well so far. We just have to keep up with everybody.”
Judges Comments: Len: “The first one out sets the bar and they set it high, I love it.” Bruno: “Melissa is the fastest girl in town, one of the fastest jives I’ve ever seen, but her footwork slipped a bit.” Carrie Ann: “I’m so happy that I finally got to see Melissa jive and congratulations Tony on your choreography.”
Scores: Carrie Ann: 8 Len: 8 Bruno: 7.5 = 23.5/30
