It is still up for debate on whether O.J. Simpson murdered Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, like it’s still up for debate on whether Kristen Stewart cheated on Robert Pattinson. There’s been speculation and gossip mongering for the past two decades, but no-one is certain whether the man who is currently serving prison time in a Nevada jail for an unrelated crime, is a cold blooded murderer – but only in the sense that they don’t have him committing the crime on video.
In October of 1995, Simpson was acquitted of all charges against him and the missing knife was one of the many reasons why he was vindicated. Now, according to a new National Enquirer article as reported by Radar, O.J. is trying to sell the murder weapon which he purportedly used to commit the heinous acts.
An insider told the Enquirer that O.J. is actually attempting to net $5 million in the devilish deal, “O.J. wants the deal to be a well-kept secret. He’s looking for a strictly cash deal so that the money can be deposited in offshore accounts and can’t be traced directly to him.” It was widely speculated that Simpson “either dumped the knife in a trash can after allegedly committing the June 1994 killings before jumping on a flight to Chicago, or took it with him and disposed of it in a park.” However, new reports have surfaced that these rumours were indeed “red herrings”, used to draw the attention away from the real location of the murder weapon.
Unfortunately, Simpson won’t be able to spend that $5 million anytime soon, as he will only be free again in 2017, but the source at the Enquirer believes he is motivated by revenge and greed. “It’s not just about the money. O.J. will get a sick satisfaction from putting one over on the cops and Ron Goldman’s family. He’d love to think he’s outsmarted them,” said the willing-to-talk source. In 2006, O.J. published the controversial “If I Did It” book, which was described by many as “macabre” and “unsettling”. The hypothetical book was supposed to net O.J. over one million dollars, but Ron Goldman’s father put a stop to it and sued both O.J. and the publishing company, Harper Collins. The initial print of the book was cancelled shortly after publication and only 400 000 copies were sold. The rights to the book were awarded to the Goldman family in August of 2007 and the book was re-published with comments by the Goldman family. The “IF” was reduced in size and placed in the “I” of “I Did It”. A person glancing at the cover briefly would not notice the “IF”, but will only notice the less hypothetical “I Did It”.
There have been several O.J. Simpson conspiracy theories over the years, so we’re not too sure whether we believe this one. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
