Last night was another new great episode of Once Upon A Time and we recapped ‘Dreamy’ for you here. In our wrap-up we have some observations of last night’s show and some questions. Last night was a Grumpy/Dreamy (Lee Arenberg) episode and was the most boring episode of the show to date, very few surprises. One minute of Rumpelstiltskin as Mr. Gold and he was gone.. What the heck is that? He is the best character on the show and they better realize it before I am forced to write the producers a nasty note!!
Anyway, at least Mr. Gold expressed that he has a mixed history with the nuns and is basically using their lease as a threat he holds over them. Miss a month and he throws those black crows into the street. Not a bad idea in any case – I mean what fun is a nun? But what is the secret in Mr. Gold’s past that relates to nuns that he did not mention? This promises to lead to some good storytelling in future episodes. And best of all, these stories will feature Mr. Gold – the king of Once Upon A Time in my humble opinion. I mean with all due respect, except for Sydney – Giancarlo Esposito (who was amazing on Breaking Bad as hardened criminal Gus ) Robert Carlyle is in a class of his own on the show. The rest of the cast could learn a thing or two about acting from him.
What else? Well Regina is scheming to make it look like David is somehow involved in Katherine’s disappearance. Of course we assume that David is innocent but those nasty phone records are guaranteed to make it appear otherwise. Good old Sydney and Regina make one devilish team.
What do you think? Is the phone record faked?
As far as Dreamy turned Grumpy turned Leroy? He seems to be the clearest thinking drunk I’ve ever met. If Mary Margaret is a harlot and Leroy is a drunk then Storybrooke needs to get a taste of life in the big city! What do you think will Astrid and Leroy be together somehow?
There was also an interesting appearance by Belle (Emilie de Ravin), who runs into Dreamy at a tavern, where she talks about love and loss. I’m guessing that timeline-wise, she is on her way home from Rumple’s castle. She is clearly nursing her own broken heart. Were you glad to see Belle back?
The next episode is airing March 11th, 2012 and it is called ‘Red-Handed.’ In the episode after quitting Granny’s diner and with her self-esteem at an all-time low, Emma hires Ruby to be her assistant in order to help her discover what it is in life that she’s good at; and Emma continues questioning David about the disappearance – and possible murder – of Kathryn. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Red Riding Hood yearns to run away with her true love. But she, along with her fellow townspeople, are virtual prisoners when a bloodthirsty wolf continues on its relentless killing spree.
Make sure to come back and visit us March 11th, 2012 when we will be live blogging the episode! In the meantime check out the sneak peek video of the episode below and let us know what you thought of tonight’s episode and the answers to our questions in the comments below!
