Oprah has swooped in for the prize once again, this time winning the opportunity to interview Whitney Houston‘s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, as well as her son, Gary Houston. Gary’s wife, Patricia, who spoke at Whitney’s funeral, will also be interviewed by The-Woman-Who-Just-Won’t-Go-Away.
Whitney Houston — as you all know — died unexpectedly last month at the young age of 48 years old. Now, media outlets and reporters of all types are looking to cash in on this hot story by capitalizing on the words of Houston’s surviving family. As is the case with most high profile stories, the “First Interview” has gone to a high profile celebrity reporter/journalist/interviewer. Honestly, does it surprise anyone that this potentially juicy interview went to Oprah?
Bobbi and her family will appear on Oprah’s Next Chapter, which is scheduled to air March 11, 9 PM on the OWN network. Before the interview, the network will also be airing a special tribute show entitled “Remembering Whitney: The Oprah Interview.” This features the last interview Winfrey conducted with Whitney.
Houston’s family will supposedly chat with Winfrey about their favorite memories involving the deceased singer and will, undoubtedly, comment on the rumors/speculation surrounding her death.
Will you tune into Oprah’s special interview? Do you think the interview should have went to someone else? Poor Barbara Walters . . . I bet she’s crying over this one.
