The stars of FOX’s hit show “Glee” were having tons of fun Thursday with guest star Ricky Martin. “First day!!!” The 40-year-old star Tweeted, linking to a photo of himself with the cast of the hit musical show. It was revealed in November that Martin would be making a guest appearance as a rival Spanish teacher to Matthew Morrison’s character Will Schuester.
Apparently the “Livin La Vida Loca” singer is already an old friend of Lea Michele, who plays obsessive Rachel Berry on Glee. The actress tweeted “Back at work! Starting our next episode with my old friend Ricky Martin! I’ve known Ricky since I’m 8 years old! He was in Les Mis on Broadway with me in 1996! Crazy huh?!,” Later, Michele added, “He’s seriously the sweetest and such a great fit for our show!”
Best knows as the singer who started the popular 90’s Latin music trend, Martin actually has a lot of experience acting. He’s been on several Spanish television shows and starred on popular American soap opera General Hospital back from 1994-1995. Lately he’s lent his voice to another popular FOX show, “American Dad”.
Martin, who is the father to 3-year-old twins Matteo and Valentino has been in the press lately shooting down rumours that he plans to marry his boyfriend Carlos Gonzele Abella later this month. Although wedding bells are not in his future, Martin admitted that his is dying to add a daughter to his young family.
Glee returns to FOX—with Ricky Martin—on January 17th. Can’t wait! It’s rumored to be the “Yes/No” episode where somebody is getting proposed to! Ohhhh…..
