With the second half of the young adult hit Breaking Dawn Part 2 hitting theaters on November 16, teenage girls, middle aged women and many gentleman of all ages will need fresh idols to worship and with prospects of a Twilight spin off in the works the Twihard fandom may not have to say a final goodbye to Edward, Bella and Jacob just yet. A source reports that a “TV show or film spin-off, merely set in the same world as the one in the movies… is being seriously considered”. It is also possible that there is interest in “The Wolf Pack”.
Can fans expect the return of their favorite star crossed lovers Edward and Bella? NME reports that Stewart is “ready to say goodbye” to Bella and the role that made her loud sighing trendy. Stewart took on the role of Bella at the age of 18, and has strong emotional ties to the franchise even feeling a sense of sadness “like when [she’d] suddenly smell something that reminds [her] of being on set”.
Pattinson on the other hand is both considering and willing to do a spin off, carrying on his role of America’s favorite sparkly melancholy vampire, Edward Cullen. While in Sydney promoting Breaking Dawn Part 2, Pattinson disclosed that when it comes to a Twilight spin off, “I don’t say ‘definitely not’ to anything… Just in case.”
With talks of a spin off either in film or television form and the news that Pattinson would agree to wear his fangs once again, fans will have to wait patiently to see if Stewart comes around. And, with the news of the couple happily reuniting following Stewart’s infidelity and the public fall out, Stewart may find herself ready to reconsider and give the Twihards a stay of execution for the end of the Twilight saga.
