Were you shocked to learn that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds secretly tied the knot last weekend? Looking back that kind of did seem like a very happy couple with a secret, didn’t they? The rustic ceremony took place on September 9th at Boone Hall Plantation, near Charleston, South Carolina and the couple definitely added a bunch of sentimental touches to the entire affair. One of the most sentimental moments of the day came as Florence Welch of Florence + the Machine sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow in honor of her close friend Blake and her brand new husband.
The latest issue of People Magazine has all the inside, behind the scenes details and here’s just a tidbit about the vows that Ryan and Blake wrote for each other,
“They promised to support and love each other and to make each other laugh,” a source tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. The groom “said he would treasure Blake; she said she would adore him. The whole time they were beaming.”
I wonder why they even thought to vow to make each other laugh. That leads me to think maybe their previous relationships were lacking the humor and fun (Hello, Scarlett??)!
People’s cover article on the new married couple also has details on Blake’s Marchesa dress and how they wrapped up the special evening with s’mores and the launching of paper lanterns! Grab the latest issue for all the details, but in the meantime, do you think that Blake and Ryan will last? We all know that Hollywood is particularly rough on its married couples, will their love prove to be the real deal? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
