“The Biggest Loser” Season 14 Premiere: A First Look at the Inspirational New Season! (Video)

The Biggest Loser is going to come back with full force in the New Year. Folks better get themselves prepared to work hard, to get healthy, and get inspired because the trainers aren’t just out for tears — they’re dedicated to the success of their contestants. Biggest Loser Season 14 will be tougher than ever now that no-nonsense trainer Jillian Michaels is returning to the gym, and alongside her crew she’s going to make sure these new contestants — including a trio of teenagers hoping to turn their lives around — overcome the hurdles standing in their way.

The premiere is just around the corner (January 6th), but if you can’t wait for the premiere and you simply need a Biggest Loser fix, then make sure to check out the extended preview we have for you below. Along with the return of Jillian Michaels, the show will also be welcoming back fitness gurus Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince.

“The thing that really compelled me,” says Jillian Michaels, “is that there’s a magic here and the people that watch the show get deeply inspired.”

There’s no arguing that this show inspires people to not only get up and get active but to participate in a healthy life — for the ones they love as well as themselves. This is one of those shows that will be on the air for as long as people tune in, and I have a feeling this enthusiasm for watching people change for the better isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. The Biggest Loser is taking a big leap this year and taking on an entirely different challenge: childhood obesity, a major problem in the U.S. While the show obviously can’t magically fix this epidemic, they will work to bring awareness to families all across the country by attempting to help three young adults battle their weight issues.

In the preview below, Jillian admits that, after having children of her own, the issue is ever present in her mind. “Having two new kids . . . . This issue is important — it’s important personally, it’s important globally. Having kids just really drives it home.”

If you’re a Biggest Loser fan like we are, then don’t forget to catch the special two-night premiere Sunday, January 6 and Monday, January 7 at 8/7c. In the meantime, check out the extended preview below and let us know how excited you are!
