Tonight on AMC is an all new episode of THE WALKING DEAD called “Say The Word.” On tonight’s show after another loss, Rick struggles. Michonne remains suspicious of the Governor as he throws a party with a unique twist for the people of Woodbury. Did you watch last week’s season 3 episode 4? We did and we recapped it here for you!
On last week’s show Rick, Beth, Darryl and T-Dog went outside to clean up the dead bodies and look for Maggie and Glen to help, it turned out they were in the guard tower making out ’cause it’s important of course to get it on during a zombie apocalypse when everyone around them was dying! Rick and the group found the Governor’s compound, but before that they were taunted in a game of cat and mouse. Eventually, the group put all the pieces together and they realize that the Governor is nuts, how else can you describe a guy who spends his evenings staring at a collection of severed heads like it’s a big-screen TV.
On tonight’s show three graves are dug which leads us to believe that Carol is in fact the third person that they will be burying, after all, it’s not like the group is going to dig a grave for Andrew the prisoner after he tried to kill Rick. Rick is struggling to come to terms with Lori’s death while Glenn tries to help him get his spirit back and the rest of the group take care of the baby. Everyone is mourning the loss of their friends but three graves have to be dug and supplies found for the baby.

Tonight’s episode: In Woodbury, everyone is celebrating festivities and Michonne is wandering around still very suspicious. We get to see the Governor brushing someone’s hair and it turns out that it is a walker, his daughter Annie who he ends up having to put a sack over her head when she starts to go crazy. With the sack over her head, the Governor calms her down but this whole scene is really sick, he says to her, “daddy loves you”, she’s a zombie – the guy in charge further justifies the fact that he is one of the biggest weirdo we have ever seen on this show. Michonne is looking up at the Governor’s window just all this special “quality” time is going on between the Governor and his zombie daughter, did she actually see through the blinds?
At the prison, Hershel announces that the baby needs formula and Daryl offers to go for a run with Maggie and Glenn watching his back. Daryl only can take one person on the motorcycle, Maggie leaves with him but not before Glenn professes his love to her. Meanwhile, Rick has gone back in to the prison and turned into an insane killing machine.
In Woodbury, the Governor calls all the towns people around to make an announcement, today they celebrate how far they have come and celebrate all those who they have lost. While the Governor is busy with is speech, Michonne has sneaked into his apartment to snoop around. First she finds a happy photograph of the Governor and his family, then she finds a suspicious journal. Someone is coming, the Governor, Merle and his second in charge that asks the Governor to postpone tonight. Michonne got out of the apartment and is now somewhere outdoors where she finds some walkers behind a locked gate, she breaks it and lets them out, then slices them up one by one.
Michonne and the Governor are now in some sort of room, she is sitting behind a table and he asks her if she likes poking around other people’s things. She mentions his daughter Penny and he tells her that he loves her very much. He goes on to tell her that she fits in but she has turned things upside down because she broke the rules. He bargains with her, he will keep the lid on her snooping around and he will put her on his research team because she is good with her katona. All of sudden, Michonne flips around and grabs her katona out of his hands, puts it to his throat and then leaves. Merle walks in and asks if there is a problem, the Governor says no.
At the prison, Glenn is digging a grave when the two prisoners, Axel & Oscar, walk up to him and ask if he needs help. Glenn lets the two help and walks up to the fence to see Hershel.
The Governor has called Andrea to meet with him and tells her that Michonne stole her weapon and went it a guarded place and slaughtered walkers. Andrea takes Michonne’s side, but soon goes to see her and tells her to give the place a shot, she thinks it is a good place. Michonne tells her that Woodbury is not what they say it is.
At the prison, Glenn goes in search of Rick and finds a massacre of dead walkers and then Rick, with a bloody axe in his hand and deranged look on his face. When Glenn tries to reason with Rick, he shoves him by the neck up against a wall, then releases him and continues to forge on through the prison.
Merle and some of the Governor’s men are on a walker killing spree while Daryl and Maggie have arrived at the school to look for supplies. Maggie finds the formula for the baby.
Michonne and Andrea are all packed up and heading out of Woodbury when Merle notices them leaving and tells them is is almost kurfew, he needs to arrange an escort. Merle surprisingly opens the gate and lets the two leave, but Michonne thinks it is all for show. Andrea does not want to leave, she is tired of running. Michonne gives Andrea an ultimatum and when Andrea doesn’t budge to leave, she tells her that she would slow her down anyway. Michonne is on the other side of the gate with Andrew, still in Woodbury, looking through the gate at her leaving.
The Governor finds Andrea on a bench and invites her to spend some time with him to take her mind off of things, she gives him her hand and walks with him.
Daryl and Maggie are back. Daryl takes the baby and feeds her some formula, he asks everyone if the baby has a name yet, but she doesn’t. Rick is still on his rampage and he has now found what’s left of Lori’s remains. All of a sudden, he finds a walker with a really fat belly, he must have eaten Lori, Rick shoots him in the mouth and blows his head off. Then Rick stabs him repeatedly in the stomach – this is a supremely intense gross moment.
It’s late night and the festivities have begun and Woodbury. Essentially their are walkers tied up and Merle with some other man fight in the center of the tied up walkers. The Governor is loving the show and cheering everyone on, but Andrea looks disturbed. As the fighters get more into the fight, the chains are loosened and the walkers get closer to the fighters. Andrea is creeped out, but the Governor tells her that it is staged, the walkers teeth have been pulled out. Andrea just can’t accept it, she doesn’t like what this kind of barbaric fight is teaching the towns people. Andrea looks like she may just may be regretting having not left with Michonne.
The next morning, Daryl is out by the graves and places a flower on one of them. Inside the prison, Rick is still in his deranged state when he heads a phone ringing and gets up to answer it.
Who was on the phone?
The end!
