Tonight was the eighth episode of True Blood season 5 and it was another great episode, the season is really heating up and we are leading up to a war between humans and vampires! We have a sneak peek video and some spoilers to wet your appetite for next week’s episode 9 ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’ episode!
Tonight’s show at the Vampire Authority headquarters, the Chancellors revel in the afterglow of their recent killings and most of them are still tripping and very pleased with themselves. Eric gots a message from Godric and tries to convince Nora that what they did was a mistake. Helped by Claude and his sisters, Sookie and Jason visit the site of their parents’ deaths. Sookie made contact with the vampire who killed her parents and Claude is not pleased because the elders will be upset. Sookie realizes that Claude’s sister Claudine knows who the vampire who killed her parents are. If you missed tonight’s episode it was a great one, you can read a full and detailed recap here!

Official HBO synopsis of next week’s episode: On next week’s show Salome and the Chancellors celebrate the start of the vampire holy war. Sookie gets a hint about her parents’ murder but anti-supernatural enthusiasts put her in danger. Eric plans his escape. Andy and Jason are out looking for clues. Alcide remembers how he was initiated into his pack. Arlene is trapped between Terry and Patrick’s clash. Steve gets a new pet.
On next week’s show we start off where we left off tonight. Bill has suggested to the Vampire Authority that they blow up the True Blood factories so vampires have to feed off humans. Bill tells Eric he is evolving. In the preview for next week’s episode Eric says to Bill, “I don’t know what sort of game you are playing Bill.” Bill tells him it is not a game Everything he believed in has been turned upside down.
Jessica is very upset and is crying. On tonight’s episode Hoyt was walking on the road and someone stopped to pick him up and pulled a gun on him. Jessica says as she sobs, “If anything happens to him it is because of me!” I guess she is feeling guilty because Hoyt saved her from the rednecks who are killing sups.
Meanwhile, Russell walks into the werewolf packs meeting place and says we have a new Pack Master as everyone claps. Russell is with Steve Newlin (I see a new boyfriend in Russell’s future) Russell bites his arm to release his blood for the pack. So it seems Russell is in cahoots with JD and the pack.
It looks like Salome and Bill are hooking up and Salome tells Bill that Lilith has chosen him for her. They are going to birth a new world together. I’m not sure if I am buying Bills complete conversion, what about you. Is Bill just pretending.
We get a scene at Fangtasia where Tara says – It is going to be a blood bath out there. Meanwhile a vampire gets on stage and screams, “Grab a human, drinks are one me,” as Pam looks on shocked. A voice says, “It’s begun.” Then we see Eric saying to Bill, “What about Sookie?” In the last scene we see Bill in bed with Sookie and he bites her. Yikes, looks like an exciting episode.
