With Part 2 of the Bachelorette 2013 Season finale approaching, one has to wonder how the producers are going to be keeping Brooks Forester’s return a surprise when most fans can spot the ending from a mile away.
When Brooks Forester dumped Desiree Hartsock on national television, Desiree could be seen sobbing her heart out in a viewer confession, saying that she didn’t know if she could choose between the remaining contestants, Drew and Chris. She stated, “It throws everything off, having Brooks gone. It breaks my heart. It breaks my heart knowing that I have two amazing, unreal guys who do love me. I just can’t love them as much…And that’s not what they deserve. Honestly, for me, it’s over.”
As we later reported after the episode aired, there’s no way the producers are going to let that happen. First of all, don’t let the ‘reality’ TV tag fool you. The situation was maneuvered into place to ensure the maximum amount of shock value for the fans. This way, they absolutely HAVE to tune in to the finale, even though Desiree has basically admitted that she will have to settle for her number 2 choice, whether it be Chris or Drew.
Of course, the show’s already set up for Brooks’ return, with Brooks even saying that he made a huge mistake after he broke up with Desiree. He stated, “I’m surprised. I didn’t want to leave her. I wasn’t expecting that. I didn’t know what else to say, though. I just wanted to sit there.” Apparently, he regretted his choice ‘immediately’, and I mean, of course he has to say that.
Really, this whole situation is so ridiculously transparent. Considering that Brooks and Desiree are already engaged outside of the show, isn’t it obvious how the finale’s going to end? I’m really hoping for a curveball, but I have a feeling that it’s going to be pretty predictable.
