What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. While Jack is off either on the job or throwing himself headlong into his affair with Sarah, why shouldn’t his wife start paying attention to a hot young man interested in her. At least someone is. But she’s trustful. To the extent she told Jack about a guy giving her the look. He jokes around with her but she can tell. He’s not really as interested as the wine guy. He’s much too busy. He’s “working” all the time.
One of the new things he was working on is new kind of deal for her father. Thatcher is getting desperate; he’s seeking out new avenues to do business. Before everyone was too scare of him to tell him no. Now that its all he hears, he’s actually moving into the illegal waters the feds always thought he moved in. He got Jack to supervise a shipment never knowing the D.A. was listening in.
Luckily for Jack his men on the ground were more loyal than the cops thought. He got a tip off in time and managed to evade an arrest. Later he races to the office and erases any kind of proof. By the time they got subpoena, they soon found everything gone.
He got away that time only to learn afterwards his son has been getting lessons from Thatcher. Both him and Elaine didn’t know their son was taking boxing lessons much less that he attacked a kid that was bullying him. He denies it when his parents confront him. Instead he asks his dad how come he’s never home?
Sarah on the other hand has been taking a lot things from her affair. She’s grown bolder and even Alissa has notice. For instance as she was working with a difficult journalist she actually didn’t remain passive. She argued her point on the article and Alissa loved the idea so much she sold it to another newspaper.
However Alissa knows something has come over Sarah. She believes it’s because of the affair. Although she’s happy for her friend, she warns her to be conscious. A little bit too late. She told Jack she loved him. So Alissa wonders if Sarah ever found out anything about Jack’s family.
Too curios to resist, Sarah asked Jack about his family. At first it started off fine when he spoke of his children. Until she venture into wife territory. Drew had told her that Elain was into vegetables. It was information he got from the wiretap. She didn’t know so when she brought it up to Jack he wondered where she heard it from. Unbeknownst to her that information helped him get rid of the bug Brandy planted.
Drew has no choice but to go to Brandy again with no bug. He tries the usual sob story. It doesn’t work. He asks what will and she tells him to get her a citizenship and new home with a good school district. If he willing to do that then she’s wear a wire into Thatcher’s office.
Drew tells the Feds not to rush Brandy. He doesn’t want her to get hurt. And for the time being he wants to enjoy his wife’s new outlook. He noticed how she appeared happier lately and he just wants to enjoy it. He didn’t get a lot of time though. When Jack cancels their date the next day it sends her into a public free fall. He got her out before anyone noticed but soon he’ll begin to get curious.
Sarah had been a little irrational. She went to Elaine’s restaurant to see her and ended up having a small conversation with the woman. When she got home she was truly ill. Poor Drew thought it something she much have eaten.
Jack cancelled the date after he saw the father of the boy his son beat up. The other man gave him a good couple of licks and refused the “blood” money Jack tried to offer him. He returned home bruised and angry. He took away all of his son’s possessions and grounded him. He wants him to learn a different way to dealing with conflict.
Behind Drew’s back, the feds sent Brandy into a meeting with Thatcher. She wanted to capture im on tape admitting he paid her off for testifying TJ. The very same TJ that’s intent on disobeying his father and working a 9 to 5 job. So he’s not in a good mood to fall into a trap.
Drew was going through Sarah’s camera. He wanted to view the images their son took. He didn’t expect he would see a photo taken of a naked Sarah sleeping. He knows she’s having an affair.
