St. Helena Island native CANDICE GLOVER performed “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by the Rolling stones for her Top 7 AMERICAN IDOL performance tonight. The theme for tonight’s performance show was Classic Rock, No Ballads. The contestants were warned no ballads, love songs or soft songs. There have been a lot of ballads performed by the contestants this season, so I guess they want to see how the idol hopefuls can rock it out.
It should be interesting for Candice tonight because generally she prefers to sing R & B songs. On last week’s show she sang Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” and the judges loved it. Randy gushed, “I love tonight that you came out and said, let me show everyone what I can do. you have one of the best voices this year. Amazing!”
Candice said this week she is starting to feel like a celebrity, when she goes out in public people recognize her. She said, “I guess real celebrities get tired of that, but it’s actually kind of cool.” If the judges comments are any indication, Candice better get use to people recognizing her :-)
On Thursday’s Results Show, Carrie Underwood will perform her new single, “See You Again” and Season Nine finalist Casey James will sing his song, “The Good Life.” We will also lose one more hopeful Idol contestant.
