I can already imagine this title in the holiday issue of People Magazine: Royals, they’re just like us! Carole Middleton was spotted going shopping for Christmas gifts, just like everybody else. According to Vanity Fair, who obviously has a great relationship with the royals [cough, Pippa Middleton‘s ‘job’], Carole was spotted buying baby gifts for Prince George as well as boxer shorts.
VF’s source tells them, “My spies spotted her in the baby department of the Peter Jones department store the other week, buying cute gifts for little George. She also snapped up several boxes of Calvin Klein boxer shorts.”
Well, the boxers are likely for her husband, although I wouldn’t bet on them being for someone else. But in terms of the gifts for little Georgie, you can imagine that Carole just loves to dote on her grandson – and the boy’s better off for it. If Princess Diana was still around, no doubt it would have been the same – but she’s not, and Carole’s the only real grandmother George’s got left. Let’s not even pretend as though Camilla Parker-Bowles is going to have any sort of real influence in his life, and the Queen… well, the Queen’s got things to do.

Also, this ‘source’ does seem to have very intimate details on what Carole was buying, so I’m taking an educated guess and saying it’s someone close to the Middleton family – perhaps even Carole/Pippa herself.
