Blanche Devereaux of “The Golden Girls” once said: You know, in the South, we mature faster. I think it’s the heat. She was speaking on the fact that she lost her virginity before her wedding night. And it seems Chris Brown agrees with Blanche’s statement. In an interview with The Guardian, the singer opens up about losing his virginity at a young age and how he has grown over the past few years.
Apparently, the rural Virginia native was eight years old when he lost his virginity to a 14 or 15-year-old girl. What?! He stated the he and his friends watched a lot of porn and were “hot to trot.”
“It’s different in the country,” he said. “Like, girls, we weren’t afraid to talk to them; I wasn’t afraid. So, at eight, being able to do it, it kind of preps you for the long run, so you can be a beast at it. You can be the best at it.”
The “Love More” singer thinks he’s a sex god now. He even equates himself to Prince, who was (and still is) a huge ladies man.
“Prince was, like, the guy. I’m just that, today. But most women won’t have any complaints if they’ve been with me. They can’t really complain. It’s all good.”
He also talks about his run-ins with the law and how he has matured over the years. Calling the
altercation with Rihanna a wakeup call, he says he is no longer acting like a young and young teenager.
However, in the same breath, he calls community service a “bitch” and claims most recent troubles were “defense modes.”
“People think I just walk around as the aggressor, this mad black guy, this angry, young, troubled kid, but I’m not. I’m more and more laid-back. It’s just that people know if they push a button, it’ll make more news than their music. Attaching themselves to me, good or bad, will benefit them.”
I think Chris Brown is a great singer and performer but it seems his ego – on stage and in the bedroom – is growing and getting the best of him. Part of maturing and growing is making good choices. Sure people may try to provoke him but Chris continues to take the bait and act out. Do you think Chris has matured and what are your thoughts on being sexually active at eight?
