Clint Eastwood and Dina Ruiz had been together for seventeen years before announcing their divorce a couple of days ago, so what finally caused this rift?
Well, sources close to the couple claim that it initially began when Dina insisted on filming the reality show, Mrs. Eastwood and Company, which angered Clint but he didn’t do anything at the time. Reportedly, he tried talking her out of it, but didn’t make that much of an effort because he already felt like they were drifting apart.
Apparently, that constant presence of cameras in their home caused Clint to stay away as much as possible. Ever wonder why we barely saw Clint on that reality show? It’s because he mostly refused to be filmed or wasn’t even there most of the time.
Anyway, because of Clint’s absence, Dina reportedly re-connected with high school sweetheart Scott Fisher. According to reports, Scott [who is 6 foot seven] had also gotten divorced recently and with trouble in Dina’s marriage, the two connected. Dina apparently made ‘no effort to hide her romance with Scott’, and even posted videos of them vacationing in Hawaii. Of course, this will turn out to be bad news for her in the long run, but could we blame the divorce on Scott?
I don’t think the entire fault lies with him, although he may have acted as the catalyst. It’s clear that Clint and Dina were already having problems, and it’s obvious that they both sought an outlet – Clint with his filmmaking, and Dina with Scott. In the end, Dina may end up paying the most since her marriage to Clint contained a pre-nup as well as a cheating clause – and technically, she and Clint were still married when she ‘re-connected’ with Scott.
