Corbin Bleu danced a Contemporary, on the premiere of Dancing with the Stars season 17 tonight. This season features DWTS shaking things up by transitioning to a one night, two-hour format. Beginning with the second episode on Monday, September 23, one couple will be eliminated at the end of the show by combining the judges’ scores from the first two weeks with the public votes from the previous week. Each episode will open with a “massive dance number” and end with a pair being eliminated, with the exception of the premiere.
Corbin Bleu and professional dancer Karina Smirnoff: dancing a Contemporary routine. Corbin said this about his DWTS experience so far. “We’ve decided that our team middle name is gonna be ‘One more time. Because every single time we finish [the routine], one of us says, ‘No, no, no, one more time!’ “
Judges comments: Carrie Ann said: “That was beautiful and passionate. It was great, emotion, emotion.” Len: “I am confused this is week 1. That was full on, it had attack, well done.” Bruno: “Strong, powerful yet you have an expressive touch.”
