Tonight on ABC Dancing With The Stars returns with all the glitz, glitter and drama. On tonight’s episode the 8 remaining celebrities take on the “Switch-Up Challenge.” Did you watch last week’s episode when the celebs danced to their memorable year? We did and we recapped it right here for you. If you missed any of the performances from last week, we have all the videos HERE for you to watch!
On last week show the competition continued as the nine remaining celebrities commemorated “The Most Memorable Year Of Their Life.” Each couple danced to a song of the celebrities choosing that encompassed a memorable time or experience in their life. These heartfelt performances were some of the most intense and emotional of the season. By the end of the evening Christina Milian and Mark Ballas were sent home.
On tonight’s show the eight remaining couples hit the dance floor and face an exciting new challenge. Each couple will compete in an individual dance style they have not yet done as well as take part in the first ever “Switch-Up Challenge.” In this fresh take on a dance marathon, couples will compete side by side, in two rounds, with no prior knowledge of dance style or musical accompaniment. One by one, the judges will select couples to be tapped-off/removed from the dance floor. Extra judges’ points will be awarded to couples based on longevity. At the end of the night, one couple will face elimination.

RECAP: Bill Engval and Emma Slater dance the Tango to “Cheeseburgers In Paradise.” Judges Comments: Len “It was a cheeseburger tango, sharp and tangy, overall well done.” Bruno “Plenty of cheese on top but a little cheesy in the middle. You lost the smoothness of the footwork of the tango.” Carrie Ann “Strangely odd combination of humour of passion. You did what you do best, but the footwork was a bit off, although thoroughly entertaining.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 8, Len 8, Bruno 7 – 23 [VIDEO HERE]
Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Val Chmerovskiy dance the Cha Cha Cha to “Put Your Hands One Me.” Judges Comments: Bruno “You still got it big time, so sexy that it just killed me. Apart from that, it was so clean and so sharp, it was brilliant.” Carrie Ann “You take all the criticism, tonight though you were like a white panther, you have so much confidence. I loved it.” Len “You are a formidable partnership, you are consistent. Your hips were hipnotic, well done.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 10, Len 10, Bruno 10 = 30. Our first perfect score of the season. [VIDEO HERE]
Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani dancing the Quick Step to “Man Wanted.” Judges Comments: Carrie Ann “That might be the biggest turnaround that I have ever seen, it transformed you into someone elegant.” Len “There are rules with the Quick Step, the rest of the dancers need to listen to them. You were down last week, this week you were way up.” Bruno “You are like Ginger Rogers, just fabulous.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 9, Bruno 9 = 27 [VIDEO HERE]
Brant Daugherty and Peta Murga Troyd dancing the Tango to “The Night Out”. Judges Comments: Len “It was like a glass of dry white wine, dry and crisp, absolutely great.” Bruno “The prince charming has turned into the prince of darkness. I loved that you were like a leading man, there were a couple of stumbles, but I loved to see the range in you.” Carrie Ann “I agree with both of them, that was incredible technique wise, but yes there were a few times you got off the music, you were still a perfect Ken doll.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 10, Bruno 9 = 28 [VIDEO HERE]
Amber Riley and Derek Hough are dancing the Samba to “Get It Right.” Judges Comments: Bruno “Apart from your performance value, I counted and you did everything perfect.” Carrie Ann “I loved the dance, every time I watch you I think fierce. What you did was awesome, every move drove me insane, it was a turn on.” Len “It was a fantastic routine but I found it a tad repetitive. This girl is a fantastic dancer.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 10, Len 8, Bruno 10 = 28 [VIDEO HERE]
Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke dancing the Paso Doble to “Conquest.” Judges Comments: Carrie Ann “I love that you put your heart and soul into it, but it was one dimensional for me. You really were trying to be to stiff for Cheryl.” Len “I thought it was full of intent and purpose, there was a little mistake, but the rest was top notch.” Bruno “Your timing wasn’t as good as usual, today you were chasing the music. You also need to put your crotch forward, but overall a good effort.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 8, Len 9, Bruno 8 = 25 [VIDEO HERE]
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Sasha Farber dancing the Fox Trot to “Build Me Up Buttercup.” Judges Comments: Len “It’s happy hour, what was there not to like.” Bruno “You have graduated from charm school, you extended your lines so beautifully.” Carrie Ann “You have improved the most from everybody, you turned into a ballerina.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 9, Len 9, Bruno 9 = 27 [VIDEO HERE]
Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff are dancing the Viennese Waltz to the “Game Of Thrones” theme song. Judges Comments: Bruno “This was an epic melodrama, usually you have great lines but this time you lost the flow with your Conan the Barbarian lines.” Carrie Ann “You have to live up to high standards and it worked. I really think the passion was there but there could have been more holds.” Len “Tonight there was nothing in the ballroom hold, I really didn’t feel it was a Viennese Waltz.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann 8, Len 7, Bruno 8 = 23 [VIDEO HERE]
