Gillian Anderson’s secret love affair with David Duchovny continues. Although Gillian and David are both single and have been spotted together by eagle-eyed fans several times over the last few years, they both refuse to admit that they’re dating or seeing each other.
But alas, their words give us more proof than any picture would. A fan recently asked Gillian that if she and David were at a coffee shop not as Mulder and Scully but as themselves, and the aliens showed up, what would they do? Gillian reportedly answered, “The world is about to end, why don’t we have sex?” Apparently, the fan then asked what would happen if David said no, and Gillian retorted, “He better fucking say yes!”
So there you have it folks, from Gillian’s mouth to our ears. I mean, their sexual tension and chemistry was always through the roof during X-Files, and much like many great screen couples of our time, it was only a matter of time before their on-screen love affair crossed over into their real life.
There’s also the fact that Gillian and David have been spotted at David’s apartment in NYC, and if it was just one fan – fine, sure, they might be making it up. But when you hear the same thing over and over again, you can’t keep ignoring it, can you? Especially when Gillian herself reveals that she wants to have sex with David. Yeah, blah blah the world is ending – but still, the fact that sex was the first thing that came to her mind is pretty telling.
