You’d think the Bachelorettes of various seasons would be there for each other and offering much needed support, right? Well think again.
Emily Maynard, who was one of the previous Bachelorettes, was watching the Bachelorette and tweeted during the finale, “Watching this while eating a frozen pizza. Des is wearing my same shirt. This episode just got way worse for me #Bachelorette.”
Emily’s obviously bitter about her own fortunes – since she turned down Arie Luyendyk Jr and accepted Jef Holm, thinks have quickly gone downhill. After several months of cheating rumors and allegations, Emily and Jef broke up last summer and have stayed apart since then. So while things didn’t work out for Emily, you would think that she would be supportive of Desiree and the difficult decisions she’s facing. But nope, she’s worrying about Desiree wearing the same shirt as her.
Um, what?! Exactly. Followers already tweeted out against Emily, with one saying, “Again..Not about YOU!” Emily replied to the followers with, “Its my twitter. Its about me.” Well, at least she’s succinct. But seriously, tweeting about Desiree’s shirt when she’s about to make such a big decision is snarky and rude, and just shows Emily’s character. The fact that an episode would get ‘way worse’ for her just because of someone wearing the same t-shirt as her is ridiculous.
If that wasn’t enough, she also decided to tweet about Desiree’s choice at the end of the finale, writing, “Chris is cute and all but he looks like Steve from Blues Clues. And he likes to rhyme. #Bachelorette.” True, but harsh. And again, uncalled for. It’s not exactly like Jef was a great catch either.
What do you guys think about Emily’s snarky tweets? Do you think she was just angry that her own relationship didn’t work out, or was she just being snarky for the sake of being snarky? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
