It seems as if Tristan Rogers‘ exit from General Hospital, one of the hottest daytime soaps, is definitely a reality. The news was confirmed by GH’s head writer, Ron Carlivati, and he admits that he was completely blindsided by the announcement. In fact, Carlivati had already written Rogers’ character, Robert Scorpio, into a major story arch for February. Now he’s left with the great (but probably a bit fun) task of figuring out how to send him off the show in a realistic, believable way!
“Guys, I had no idea @tristanrogers was leaving. I found out last night. I now have 1 day to write him out of a big Feb Sweeps storyline,” Ron tweeted.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Tristan is “slated to reprise his Y&R role, Colin Atkinson, which he played from 2010-11 and in 2012.” I’m sure showrunners aren’t entirely happy with Tristan’s decision to jump ship, but you know how the World of Soap is . . . it can get dirty sometimes.
