Hell’s Kitchen RECAP 5/30/13: Season 11 “7 Chefs Compete - Part 1”

Tonight on FOX our favorite Chef Gordon Ramsey returns with a new episode of HELL’S KITCHEN called, “7 Chefs Compete – Part 1.” On tonight’s show the remaining chefs have trouble guessing the fish Chef Ramsay is serving.  Did you watch last week’s episode? We did and we recapped it here for you!

On last week’s show the remaining eight chefs took a spin to determine which type of international cuisine they would cook in a challenge that tested their ability to create an exquisite ethnic dish using only select ingredients. The winning team earned a shopping spree and private lunch, while the losing team had to restock wine and prep the bar for dinner service. Later, one team fell behind even before dinner service begins, and the other team’s strongest competitor made shocking mistakes that put Chef Ramsay over the edge, forcing him to send both teams out of the kitchen. After the worst dinner service in HELL’S KITCHEN history, each team had to nominate their weakest chef in another explosive elimination round.  At the end of the episode Nedra was sent home.

On tonight’s show every great chef has a discerning palate, so Chef Ramsay tests each chef’s ability to identify ingredients relying solely on their taste buds in the blind taste challenge. The winning team is granted a luxurious sushi meal overlooking the ocean followed by a relaxing day of horseback riding. Meanwhile, the losing team is charged with delivery day duties and backbreaking labor in HELL’S KITCHEN. Later, Chef Ramsay presents the chefs with a surprising challenge in order to determine which contestant deserves immunity in the next dinner service and will move one step closer to a life-changing prize.

Tonight’s episode are going to be another drama packed ones, which you won’t want to miss. So be sure to tune in for our live coverage of FOX’s Hell Kitchen Season 11 “7 Chef’s compete” — tonight at 8PM EST!  Find out whose dreams of winning HELL’S KITCHEN might go up in flames.

RECAP: Everyone is talking about the last elimination. Anthony and John are rehashing last night. Even though John is not making much sense.

Mary from the Red team has some opinions about the Blue team and why they keep losing. She believes Zach has been trying to sink some of his competitors. She even says it to his face that he lies a lot with Cyndi agreeing with her; only after Zach has left the room.

The next day, Chef Ramsay has a mini challenge. He wants to test the candidates sense of touch. Cyndi and Anthony are first. They’re nervous about what they’re touching. Luckily it was eggs followed by other food items. Anthony is able to win for the Blue Team but he doesn’t have any award. Why? Because it’s not the real challenge. The real test is a taste challenge. However when its time for the Blue Team to pick who will go first, they seem to be tripping over themselves. Zach ends up getting picked.

Its Zach against Mary in a taste test round one. Zach puts his team ahead by two points.
Now it’s Anthony vs. Ja’Nel. Ja’Nel is able to push the Red Team into the lead.
Cyndi vs. John still has Red Team in the lead.

Susan vs. Zach. Both Teams are equal and it comes down to Susan. She wins it for the Red Team. This time it’s not a joke and they do get a reward. Meanwhile the Blue team has to help out during delivery day. Delivery ends up being an extra punishment when the guys unload too much because Anthony didn’t read the invoice.

John and Zach both want Anthony out now. Anthony knows his position is shaky and he desperately wants to redeem himself tonight.

A new challenge. Each contestant has to create their own individual dish. The chef that creates the dish Ramsay likes best will have immunity. Susan trying to redeem one of her dishes struggles yet again with her lamb.

The winning dish ……will be continued.
