Are Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev back together? The rumor mill has gone into overdrive after Ian posted an incredibly sweet message to her on Twitter.
He spotted a Cosmo magazine with Nina on the cover at a store, and wrote, “In a store this morning-who do I see?The one&only @ninadobrev These things are almost gone so If you haven’t gotten this magazine off of a shelf-get one. One word: Stunning… Congrats Nina! Xo Ian.”
‘The one and only’, ‘stunning’, ‘xo Ian’ is definitely all indicative of a lot of affection, and maybe even more. So is he just being a good friend, or is there more going on?
When Nina and Ian first broke up, they didn’t message each other on Twitter at all, even though they did post cryptic messages about relationships and couples. When The Vampire Diaries was on hiatus, I doubt Nina and Ian had any interaction, either in person or on Twitter. However, when they got back to set for the next season’s filming in Atlanta, sources have been saying that the level of awkwardness between the former couple has reduced drastically.
Of course, some fans are saying that it could just be healing over time, and the fact that both Nina and Ian are mature enough to stay friends after their breakup. However, most others are saying that it’s obvious Nina and Ian have gotten back together, especially since he wouldn’t have sent such a gushy or public message to her, knowing that fans will see it and talk.
