Well, so much for my theory about how Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are friends again. The two have been trying their best to avoid each other on the set of the Vampire Diaries in Atlanta, where they are filming the fifth season. There’s also the fact that Ian keeps tweeting cryptic remarks about his state of mind, and his thoughts on relationships.
One of his tweets was, “There are only three things to be done with a woman. You can love her, suffer for her, or turn her into literature.’ Henry Miller.” Was that a jab against Nina? If it was just one tweet, we could just consider it a coincidence, but he just gave a long interview to Women’s Health Magazine about his ideal girlfriend and sex life. We can’t help but feeling like he’s trying to send out a message.
He also tweeted, “Wrapped-crazy to be back on these stages in Georgia. Wow, so many memories here. Season 5-this show has lasted more than most Marriages…”
Well, I don’t know if that’s so much a comment on his relationship as it is a comment on the state of romance in general. I think Ian’s just become very cynical when it comes to his romantic life, especially because he’s only been in long-term relationships, both with his girlfriend before Nina and then Nina, and clearly neither of them worked out for the better.
