Long time fans of ABC’s General Hospital are jumping for joy this week with the news that Ingo Rademacher and Vanessa Marcil will be heading back to Port Charles later this spring. The actors were tapped back in the early 90’s to portray the very popular couple of Jax and Brenda and have popped up over the years when GH needed them for story lines. Ingo and Vanessa are filming their first scenes together this week and will likely appear on General Hospital around April 1st to help celebrate the shows 50th anniversary.
The actors are expected to be thrown into a love triangle with Maurice Bernard who plays Sonny. If you are a long time viewer than you’ll remember that GH got a lot of mileage out of the Brenda-Sonny-Jax saga and it’s a story that I will personally love to revisit. It’ll be really interesting to see how these characters will fit together 20 years after they were initially brought together.
The powers-that-be aren’t commenting on how long Jax and Brenda will stick around for but it’s being speculated that it’ll be for more than just a couple of weeks. Ingo will be doing double duty for awhile as he is also set to join partner, Kym Johnson in the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars. The show usually tries to reel in one soap star each season and this time around it’ll be Ingo that cranks up the heat while vying for the mirror ball trophy.
