Jef Holm Twitter Bashes Desiree Hartsock: She’ll Never Marry Chris Siegfried – Bitter Former Bachelorette Winner!

Jef Holm won The Bachelorette a couple of years ago, but he’s stayed quiet since breaking up with Emily Maynard the summer after the show. I don’t think anyone really expected them to last, especially with the cheating allegations, but their split also proved that most of these Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have a very low percentage of survival beyond the show.

Of course, after what happened, Jef agrees with that statement. After he watched the season finale of the Bachelorette, he tweeted, “Classic case of getting wrapped up in the show. He’s the only person left on the show…NOT THE WORLD.” He was clearly referring to Desiree Hartsock picking Chris Siegfried even though she was still clearly in love with Brooks Forester, who broke her heart. And while I usually loathe to agree with reality stars, Jef is absolutely right in this regard.

I mean, Desiree was obviously still hung up on Brooks, and everyone thought that they would end up together in the finale. Instead, what happened was that Desiree decided to pick between the two left standing, even though her heart was barely in it. Why!? It’s ridiculous to pick between two people that you don’t have feelings for right after your heart got broken, especially when you have a future ahead of you and plenty more men outside of the show. Obviously, Jef didn’t take into account the fact that she’s signed a contract for the show, and she didn’t really have a choice – she had to pick between the two, because there’s absolutely no way ABC would have let the show end on such a downer.

Keep in mind, none of this is reality. Desiree was probably promised fantastic pay and perks, and it’s not like she and Chris are going to last.

What do you guys think about Jef’s tweet? Do you agree? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
