We have been telling you for awhile now that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s relationship has bit the dust and as the weeks roll on more info is leaking out about what went wrong. By all accounts, it wasn’t a lack of love. After spending Thanksgiving apart with Jen hosting a party while Justin traveled to Virginia to be with his mom, they did reunite briefly last week to pick out a Christmas tree. There are still feelings there but that doesn’t mean that they’ve fixed all that went wrong, not by a long shot.
According to the Dec. 23rd print edition of OK magazine Jen and Justin have willingly lived on different coasts for months now and those close to her say it’s like she just flipped a switch and shut down. For the better part of two years, everything was about Justin and the actress was giddy over the possibility of building a life and family together. She started to see it all actually begin to come true and Jen kind of freaked. Sources say that the actress has a habit of sabotaging herself and running from the good things in her personal life, Justin included.
She spent months telling people how it was doomed just because Justin was an actor and in the end it became a self-fulfilling prophecy. The irony was that they really were making it work. Once Jen backed off Justin decided to at least return to life in NYC where he feels truly at home. Of course this left her feeling abandoned and it was only downhill from there. The couple has yet to confirm a split and some think there might be a shred of hope for them to reconcile, but don’t hold your breath.
