There have been tons and tons of rumors about the secret Joe Jonas sex tape, but with the bombshell dropping today about the Jonas Brothers breaking up, it’s not hard to come up with the reasons. Let’s think – what would be a reason for the brothers to split up right before their supposed ‘comeback’ album? Considering that Joe’s sex tape with girlfriend Blanda Eggenschwiler has been rumored for several months now, it’s pretty easy to guess what might have happened.
Was Blanda threatening to leak the tape? Did somebody get their hands on it? To be completely honest, the sex tape would probably have boosted the sales of the Jonas Brothers comeback tour and album, but it’s also damaging to a boy band that prides themselves on having appeal to young girls. Unlike Justin Bieber, the Jonas Brothers actually have the wholesome appeal required to sell music to teenage girls, and they have nothing scandalous that would prevent the girls’ parents from buying tour tickets and albums. Unfortunately, if Joe was to release a sex tape, there’s a high probability that these very same families might not be as accepting of the band.
There have already been several conflicting reports about the cause of the breakup between the Jonas Brothers, but most sources seem to agree on the fact that the brothers were having disagreements on the future of the band. A source told E! Online, “They are brothers and that will never change. This isn’t about personal issues. The guys recorded a lot of music and there was broad disagreement within the group about what direction to take with the music.”
Well, of course they’re going to say that. There’s no way they would say they were worried about a sex tape or a possible scandal that would tarnish their sterling reputation.
