Finally, it’s begun! It’s begun! Kate Middleton has officially begun the birthing process. The news has exploded all over the web: Kate Middleton is in labor and was rushed to the hospital in the early hours of Monday morning. In the Lupo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, the princess is being given the top care and, duh, being treated like a royal. We’re not sure whether or not this will be a quick labor or a relatively slow labor, but we should know soon enough what kind of royal Kate Middleton and Prince William produced.
According to the live blogs over at The Daily Beast (courtesy of The Royalist), “Kate Middleton was admitted to hospital this morning shortly after 6am, in the ‘early stages of labour’ for the birth of her first child, who will become third-in-line to the throne, regardless of its gender. Kate’s arrival at hospital came as a relief for journalists, many of whom have been camped outside the hospital in a marathon ‘doorstep’ for the past three weeks.”
The palace officially released a statement delineating that Kate is in fact in labor. So these updates aren’t bologna, people. This is the real deal. We’re finally — soon, soon, soon enough — going to get a glimpse of this royal baby nugget.
Kate’s currently being treated by the royal gynecologists:
Kate is being attended by The Royal Household’s official surgeon-gynaecologist, Alan Farthing, the former fiancé of murdered television presenter Jill Dando, who is the consultant gynaecologist at St Mary’s and will be assisting with the labour.
technically, however, the man in charge is the Queen’s own surgeon-gynaecologist, Marcus Setchell, who has postponed his retirement to deliver Kate’s baby.
