Prince William and Kate Middleton will have a new houseguest now that the Royal baby has arrived, Carole Middleton. Kate’s mother is going to be residing with the new parents at Kensington Palace for a few weeks, to help them as they adjust to life with a newborn baby boy.
Even though the Royal baby will have a slew of nannies and other palace help around it seems that his or her Grandma Carole will be there in the beginning to help out as well. Prince William will have to tend with fatherhood, as well as his mother-in-law for a few weeks now that the baby is born. However it won’t be for very long. Mrs. Middleton will lend a helping hand for just a couple of weeks, then leave William and Kate to bond as a family with their child and the nanny too of course.
It is not uncommon for a mother to spend some time with her daughter after she has given birth and the Princess appears to be no exception. She reportedly wants her mother there for a little while after the birth of her child. The palace has agreed (means Queen Elizabeth approves) but it is unlikely they will want Carole to be hanging around too long. After all there is Royal protocol to follow, like having your kids raised by nannies and no one wants Carole to get in the middle of that. I think it is pretty cool the way that Kate makes sure her family has stayed involved in her life since she married into the Royal family. I guess she is still a commoner at heart and that is one of the things that makes her awesome.
The Royal baby has yet to arrive but arrangements are already being made for when he or she comes home. What do you think of Carole spending a few weeks with Kate, William and the baby after the birth? Do you think Camilla Parker-Bowles will be upset about this?
