A new baby’s nursery is one of the many joys of parenthood. How does one choose a specific theme for a newborn? Should the colors be neutral? Should the baby be raised in a gender specific environment? All of these questions are usually answered a few months before the birth. Parents head out on a Saturday and buy a boatload of colourful frills and fancy stickers. By the time the little one is welcomed into the world, the nursery awaits. But what about Prince William and Kate Middleton? Well, according to Hello! Magazine, the ravishing royals took the classy, cute route for Prince George and his now famous nursery.
There will be no cobwebs, old furniture, or paintings of dead people in Prince George’s humble abode. The new age royals took the road less traveled and opted instead for a Beatrix Potter-themed nursery.
“The collection features a number of adorable handmade and decorated items, including the Cambridge Toybox and a Grand Daughter Clock, which are handpainted with the adorable bunny drawings and personalised with a child’s name. The Dragons’ cotbed, chest of drawers and chair could all be ready for George when he moves to Kensington Palace, along with the numerous presents his family have already receieved on his behalf,” reveals the magazine.
The magazine also asserts that Kate Middleton asked Camilla Parker-Bowles to assist with the nursery’s design and decorations. (No, we doubt Camilla painted the room with tear stains and Farrah Fawcett’s hair)
Prince George has a heavy life ahead of him, so thank the good Lord that Kate and William decided to raise him in a “normal” environment. However if it were Camilla’s kid, the nursery would have contained several horse heads.
Figure that one out for yourself.
