This story is just stunning. We have been telling you for months now that Princess Diana told many people around her that she feared she was going to be assassinated, probably in a car crash. I’m not sure if people were hesitant to believe Diana or if she just felt that not even her top notch security detail could prevent her inevitable demise but either way, the reality is that the peoples’ princess spent her last months a jangled wreck.
According to GLOBE Magazine Diana made tapes shortly before her death, as a way to communicate her wishes with Prince William for his life should she not be around to enrich it first hand. According to her good friend Lana Marks, who recently heard the footage, Diana shared with her son exactly the same fears and sentiments that she discussed with Lana nearly 20 years ago.
It seems unlikely that William heard the tapes before marrying Kate Middleton because some of the conversation was about William’s wife and how Diana was sure they would have been fast friends because William would only marry an amazing person. I wonder if he was presented with this special recording at the same time that Queen Elizabeth turned over the dossier of findings regarding Diana’s death. If you remember she had her own investigative team put together pieces and they concluded that Diana was assassinated in Paris 16 years ago.
Nothing would fuel William’s actions more than realizing that his mother was frightened enough that she decided she needed to make a recording for him to hear once we was grown. Diana had to truly believe that she wasn’t going to be here to even consider that step, don’t you think? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
