Kate Middleton Releases First Official Photos of Prince George Via Twitter Soon

Today’s world is dominated by social media, so it’s only fitting that the royal family decides to release the first official pictures of Prince George via Twitter. After all, they announced his birth through Twitter, so why not continue the trend?

We always knew that Prince William and Kate Middleton were going to go against tradition in many different ways, all the way from the announcement of the pregnancy, the way the birth was handled, and the way they announced the birth and released the first pictures. Everything has remained informal and instead of holing up at Kensington Palace with a battalion of nannies and maids, the family has instead foregone tradition and decided to stay at Kate’s parents home in Bucklebury.

Now, the first official photos of the baby – which are usually released through an exclusive outlet – will be released through Twitter early next week. According to reports, Kate will be choosing the photos herself, and will make sure to select photos that were taken by her, her parents, and her sister.

A source explains, “One of the options they are looking at is releasing a couple of family photos they have taken themselves.”

When Kate and Will first got engaged, they did release official portraits, but in this regard, they want to go against the norm because they don’t want to disturb George’s schedule. They really are trying to make George’s life as normal as possible, although how long they can manage that remains to be seen.

What do you guys think about the royal family’s plan to release George’s first official baby portraits? Do you think it’s a good idea that they are choosing to forgo formal tradition and release photos that were not professionally taken, and through Twitter? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
